It is not always as glamorous as it seems to be to work as a flight attendant, and there are numerous benefits as well as drawbacks. At the end of the day, the answer to the question Is flight attendant luxurious Is uncertain. As it is still a job, and no job is perfect. But if a flight attendant is enthusiastic about their job, it won’t feel like work, and the advantages will outweigh the disadvantages. I’m very grateful that I have the opportunity to work as a flight attendant. I learned so much about the world and myself, and I always have wonderful memories to reflect on. A flight attendant’s job can, of course, be pretty challenging and demanding at times, but overall, it’s a lot of fun and can be quite rewarding!

Pros of being a Flight Attendant:

Without a doubt, this is the best part! You can use the opportunity presented by this employment to go to exciting new locations while earning money! The majority of airlines also pay you back for any downtime you have during your layover! As a result, you are earning money (although a small amount) while sipping on a martini in Tokyo or shopping in Seychelles. Your airline will also pay for your hotel stay (they choose the hotel). Therefore, it’s great if the hotel is in a great location!

Your cheap (or perhaps free!) flight tickets can be used as yet another wonderful reward during your downtime and while traveling. You frequently get special offers for airlines outside the one you fly for. I was able to take several holidays per year because of the much lower travel costs, which allowed me to spend my free time visiting so many incredible places! Your family can also get affordable flights!
Amazing experiences
As a flight attendant, you will undoubtedly have some of the most incredible experiences of your life. New Year’s Eve at the Sydney Fireworks, amazing safaris in Africa, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco on my birthday, spending time in Kyoto during the blossom season, and having a good time in Las Vegas are just a few of the highlights of my life. As a flight attendant, you will undoubtedly have some of the most incredible experiences of your life. Variety
Days spent as a flight attendant are never the same twice. You might spend one day on a tropical island and the next, a few days later, in one of the most beautiful cities on the planet! Along with the fact that your locations change every month, you frequently interact with different crew members on each flight. This keeps things interesting! Every day at this job is different, so you never get bored! You can do whatever you want during the layover! You can choose to hang out with the group, go shopping, relax by the pool, or go on your exploration.
Meeting new people
Being a flight attendant is the perfect job for social butterflies since you get to interact with so many unique people every day! Your fellow passengers, the staff, and the locals you come into contact with while traveling! They typically have very different backgrounds and cultures than you have, and they’ll tell you some fascinating stories about their countries. I learned a tonne about other cultures while I was working as a cabin crew.
You’ll also make some amazing flight attendant friends! It’s important to have friends who understand your way of life because not many people can.
Ideal office views
There are better vistas than at any office because of where you are. In addition to the Northern Lights, the brilliant white sands of Zanzibar, the Pyramids from above, and the most horrific lightning and thunderstorms, I have seen some of the most incredible sunsets you can imagine.

Cons of being a Flight Attendant:
Jet lag and sleep deprivation
The most obvious disadvantage of becoming a flight attendant is arguably the frequent jet lag and unpredictable sleep patterns. It frequently happens that you are scrambling to obtain a few hours of sleep during the day before your next trip or that you are trying to sleep all day after a night flight but still feel terrible when you wake up. Over time, this erratic sleep schedule and lack of consistency are bad for your health and may even lead to diabetes.
Despite having three or four days off in a row, you might just want to stay home and catch up on sleep since you’re too exhausted to take advantage of your discounted employee travel flights. I’ve had some long trips where I was out for 18 hours! That is unusual.
Having a long day at work
Even though everyone thinks you are on a permanent vacation (since, well, that’s how it appears on your Instagram account), occasionally you can work some incredibly long days. Frequently, I would work during a 16-hour flight. However, that is simply the flight. preparing, traveling to the airport, getting briefed, passing through security, boarding, and occasionally facing delays before the actual flight.
Between getting off the plane at the other end and cleaning up before heading to the hotel, it was easy to put in a 20-hour day. Even if you do manage to sleep for a few hours during the flight, it is still so exhausting that you feel like you could pass out. Then, since you won’t be able to sleep for the duration of the layover, you’ll need to find a way to muster the strength to get some exercise.
All jobs have their pros and cons. It just depends on you, and what you want to focus on. If you want this can be the most luxurious job one can do.
